Yarn Giveaway: Win 3 Skeins of Yarn

It’s been a few months since my last giveaway, so I felt like it was about time to do another! This time around I am giving away 3 skeins of Loops & Threads Velveteen yarn. The extra special thing about this yarn is that it is no longer in production. I was so sad to hear last year that they wouldn’t be making it anymore, as it has such a unique texture and beautiful shimmer. It has a bit of the elasticity of a t-shirt or Bernat Maker yarn, but with a delicate satin-like fabric edging that gives it an elegant sheen. It feels very fancy! Crochet Diamond Boot Cuff Pattern

Once the band is complete, a simple half-double crochet in the round makes a quick finish of the lower part of the cuff. This pattern can be done with 2 colors to create some fun contrast, or in one color for just some subtle texture. Continue reading Crochet Diamond Boot Cuff Pattern

15 Crochet Projects Perfect For Summer

Summer tends to be a time when crocheters do a little less crocheting than they would during the rest of the year. We put aside our hooks and yarn in favor of outdoor adventures and cooler hobbies. No one is dreaming of cozy winter hats and scarves when it’s hot out and the last thing you want to work on by the pool is a heavy, warm blanket! However, some of us are just so in love with the hobby that we can’t stop even if the warmer aspect of the craft is not appealing. Some of us just have to pull out those hooks and do SOMETHING!
