6 Free Crochet Pocket Shawl Patterns
The crochet pocket shawl has emerged as the newest hot trend in the crochet community this year! And who wouldn’t love this fabulous invention? It’s cozy, snuggly and has pockets!
Besides the comfort factor, it’s effortlessly stylish. Half the work of a cardigan, but with that same cozy look. It is essentially a larger rectangle made up of your favorite preferred stitches, with pockets added to either side. The faux collar ribbing and pockets really give it that “cardigan” feel.
If you like, you can also add a decorative fringe. The patterns in this round up range from no fringe, to a little, to lots. Of course, you can choose as much or as little fringe as you like for whatever pattern you go with.
The pocket shawl is an especially fun trend because there are so many possibilities for variety with stitches and detail. You can choose a simple, muted texture or go with lots of decorative stitches. You can go with masculine or feminine. There are so many options! Here are a few of my favorites that I’ve seen so far!
