How To Crochet The Loop Stitch

I would consider the loop stitch to be a more advanced stitch, just because it involves some juggling of yarn and hands and some practice to get the right tension. But there is no need to be intimidated by it! It is not that difficult once you’ve walked through it a couple of times and it is a fantastic stitch for adding some texture or creative elements to a piece. You can use it to create a fringe effect, or to add a texture similar to fur (like for a stuffed animal), or to construct an edging or border.
