When I first noticed bucket hats were trending, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. But now that I’ve seen some pretty cute versions popping up more and more, I am beginning to come around. There are even some super cute crochet bucket hat patterns out there now too, so you can even make your own!
Great Summer Project
Bucket hats make a great summer project. There are patterns out there for winter versions as well. They use some of the warmer, and even fuzzy, yarns. However, the summer bucket hat is a bit of its own vibe, so we are sticking with those in this list.
If you are making your bucket hat for the summer, I would suggest using a cotton yarn. That way you can take advantage of the breathability of the fiber, as well as the fact that cotton yarn holds up well with washing. Other good options might be raffia, linen or a cotton blend.
